“The Sibelius Violin Concerto is used to create the soundtrack for this medieval portrayal, with the theme of Loki’s mischief representing the chaos that can arise from glory stolen from the harvest”

The Bencasso A.I. project depicts famous violinists from before the 21st century as Vikings in battle gear playing the Sibelius Violin Concerto. The concerto is divided into three movements:

  1. The first movement, titled “Approaching the Shore,” begins with the seascape and the prow of a Viking ship approaching the shore. As the horses clamber and stumble off the boat, the music becomes more intense, depicting the Vikings approaching a village. The scale diatonic pattern on the G string of the violin turns into wild double stop arpeggio sequences and octaves.
  2. The second movement, “The Ransacked Village,” shows the aftermath of the attack, with the villagers being taken as slaves. Our hero Viking, who had noticed a young woman and was enamored by her, consoles her on the boat as they sail to the slavers.
  3. The third movement, “Escape from the Slavers on Spanish Horses” depicts the hero going back to save the woman and their escape on horseback. The rhythm Spanish figure beats and the finale shows the hero fighting the slavers, ultimately sacrificing himself to save the woman. The final ascending notes depict the woman taking the hero to Asgard to prepare for Ragnarok with Odin and Thor’s army. Overall, the concerto tells a story of a Viking’s last good deeds earning him a place in Valhalla. The heroine at the end of this story becomes a Valkyrie and takes our Hero Jascha to fight with Wotan and Thor preparing for Ragnarok in Valhalla.

The Bencasso AI project, accentuated with A.I. mixed media images, tells the story of a Viking’s sacrifice for unrequited love in a Wagnerian vision of Asgard and Ragnarok. The Sibelius Violin Concerto is used to create the soundtrack for this medieval portrayal, with the theme of Loki’s mischief representing the chaos that can arise from glory stolen from the harvest. The A.I. mixed media images of famous violinists like Heifetz and Loki, combined with the use of the now antiquated LP, serve to highlight the impact of technology on historical documentation and the importance of preserving the paths taken to reach the greatest wealth of life mankind has birthed. The project aims to document the new life created by the advancements of mankind, which our forebears would consider god-like, by animating the inanimate, and exploring the concept of the new life and what it means to be human.

Additionally, the project highlights the struggles for equal rights and the rise of strong and heroic women in various fields, such as politics, military and the arts. Hilary Hahn, for example, is depicted as a strong, technically and interpretively skilled violinist who continues to push boundaries and break stereotypes, much like how female politicians such as Senators Boxer and Feinstein and Speaker Pelosi, and even a survivor of modern surgical techniques, Benjamin Barnes, are breaking barriers and creating a foundation for change and prosperity for all. The project serves as a reminder of the progress we have made and the progress yet to come in the 21st century, and the possibilities that the 22nd century may bring.

Hard Rock Bach: Return of Hilary Hahn for second Bach Sonatas and Partitas program, Sonatas 1 & 2, Partita no.1 March 12, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Davies Symphony Hall, San Francisco California USA

“Overall, Hilary Hahn’s performance was one of the most memorable and enjoyable musical experiences of my life. Her playing is truly world-class, and she has a rare ability to connect with the music..”

You wont want to miss this…..

“The third time I had the opportunity to see Hilary perform was at Davies Symphony Hall, where she played her first solo Bach performance…”

Hilary Hahn is one of the most accomplished and renowned violinists of our time. Her playing is nothing short of mesmerizing, and I have had the pleasure of witnessing her performances on multiple occasions. My first two encounters with her was at a concert with the San Francisco Symphony, where she played Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D, Opus 35 (I attended two of her performances of Tchaikovsky, the first time I thought to myself, she’s as good as Perlman. The second time my friend Immi who had accompanied Karen and me, told me “you just like Hilary’s playing because she’s pretty”. I replied back “No, I like her playing because she’s as good as my grand teacher Jascha Heifetz”.) This concerto is a masterpiece in the violin repertoires, and Hilary’s performance was truly breathtaking. She infused the piece with an incredible level of emotion and virtuosity, bringing it to life in a way that was truly captivating.

The third time I had the opportunity to see Hilary perform was at Davies Symphony Hall, where she played her first solo Bach performance. As a fan of Bach’s music, I was particularly excited for this performance, and it did not disappoint. Hilary performed Sonata no.2, Sonata no.3 and Partita no.3l.

One of the things that struck me the most about Hilary’s performance was her ability to convey the emotional depth of Bach’s music. She approached these works with a level of sensitivity and nuance that is all too rare in today’s musical world. Her playing was both powerful and delicate, and she was able to convey the full range of emotion in the music.

Another aspect of Hilary’s performance that impressed me was her technical skill. She played with incredible precision and control, and her execution of the virtuosic passages was nothing short of awe-inspiring. She made it look effortless, and it was clear that she had a deep understanding of the music.

One of the highlights of the performance was the Fugue from Sonata no.3. This is one of the most famous and challenging pieces in the violin repertoire, and Hilary’s performance was nothing short of extraordinary. She brought a level of intensity and emotion to the piece that was truly moving. It was clear that she had a deep understanding of the music and was able to convey its meaning in a way that was truly special.

Overall, Hilary Hahn’s performance was one of the most memorable and enjoyable musical experiences of my life. Her playing is truly world-class, and she has a rare ability to connect with the music on a deep emotional level. I eagerly await her next performance and have no doubt that it will be just as spectacular as the ones I have already witnessed. It’s hard to find words that can truly capture the magic of Hilary Hahn’s playing, but I would highly encourage anyone who has the opportunity to see her perform to do so. You won’t be disappointed.

Before signing up to receive emails from a company, make sure you understand the laws and regulations that apply to their email marketing practices. This includes the CAN-SPAM Act in the US, which regulates commercial email messages and requires companies to include an opt-out mechanism in their emails.
  3. Check the company’s privacy policy: A company’s privacy policy will outline how they collect, use, and share your personal information. 4. Be cautious of phishing scams: Phishing scams are a common tactic used by cybercriminals to steal personal information. Be wary of emails that ask for personal information or that contain suspicious links or attachments. Always verify the authenticity of the sender and the email before providing any personal information.
  5. Consider the value you will receive from the emails: Before signing up to receive emails from a company, consider the value you will receive from the emails. Will the emails provide useful information, exclusive offers, or other benefits that are worth your time and attention? If not, it may be best to opt-out of receiving emails from the company.

In conclusion, Email marketing is a powerful tool for companies to connect with customers and promote their products, but it’s important to be aware of the potential risks and limitations of email marketing, the laws that protect your privacy, the company’s policies, their compliance with spam laws, the company’s privacy policy, and the value you will receive from the emails before signing up.

Blog it or Not: Strategies For Curbing Your Embarassment

When it comes to social interactions, forgetting someone’s name can be a major source of embarrassment. But don’t worry, there are several strategies you can use to get someone to reveal their name without letting on that you’ve forgotten it.

  1. Ask for their business card. This is a subtle way to get someone’s name without letting on that you’ve forgotten it. Plus, you’ll have their contact information for future reference.
  2. Ask for an introduction. If you’re in a group setting, ask someone else to introduce you to the person whose name you’ve forgotten.
  3. Use a conversation starter. Ask the person about their interests or job and see if they mention their name in the course of the conversation.
  4. Use a context-based prompt. If you remember where you met the person or what you talked about the last time you saw them, you can use that information to jog your memory and ask them about it.
  5. Just be honest. If all else fails, you can always just admit that you’ve forgotten their name and ask them to remind you. Remember, everyone forgets names sometimes and it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

By using these strategies, you’ll be able to get someone’s name without showing that you’ve forgotten it. Remember, it’s not about avoiding embarrassment, it’s about being confident in yourself and your ability to navigate social situations.

In short, forgetting someone’s name can be embarassing, but these strategies can help you get their name without showing that you’ve forgotten it. Whether it’s asking for a business card, an introduction, starting a conversation, using context-based prompt or being honest. Remember, it’s not about avoiding embarrassment, it’s about being confident in yourself and your ability to navigate social situations.
